One of the things we care about the most is the conservation of our planet and protecting all that is in it and we believe that music should have a purpose. We wrote Our House Is Burning with the protection and conservation of our planet in mind.
We wanted to create a song that would provoke thought and encourage people to make changes to the way they live, to better protect our natural planet and its many wonderful species. We always knew that we wanted this song to have a powerful message and to support an important cause and so we are delighted to be able to say that 100% of the iTunes proceeds of this song will be going to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
All of the SWT’s work is underpinned by community collaborations, to enhance awareness and to ensure a sustainable approach to conservation that can benefit everyone.
We have been following and supporting the work of the SWT for a few years now and are honoured to be able to support such an amazing charity with our music.
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT) is best known for its Orphans’ Project – the first and most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. Already this project has raised over 260 orphan elephants, more than half of which have already returned to the wild, some now with babies of their own.
But the SWT’s commitment to conservation goes far beyond raising orphans. Through their wider field projects, the Sheldrick Trust works to secure a future not just for these orphan elephants but for all wild species in Kenya, patrolling the protected areas on foot and from the skies and coming to the aid of wildlife across the country, in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service.
You can buy our song on iTunes in full support of the SWT and, should you wish to, you can make additional donations at sheldrickwildlifetrust.org where you can also read more about their amazing conservation work.
